This restaurant specializes in authentic Italian cuisine from a range of different locations in Italy. There are 22 Il Fornaio restaurants nationwide. The restaurant group has its roots in a baking school in Italy, and in fact this Il Fornaio in Burlingame began as the "Accademia del Fornaio," a baking school and wholesale bakery. Today, General Manager Archie Dalton, keeps it running smoothly as a retail bakery and restaurant. There is still a wholesale bakery on North Carolan Ave.
