Participate in Day of Community Action
Join First Presbyterian Church in Burlingame for a day of community involvement and community building.
is inviting community members to join them in their second Faith in Action Day. During the day of Oct. 29, volunteers will tackle community projects throughout San Mateo County.
“If you’re looking for a way to serve your community, we feel certain you will want to join in one of the many hands-on projects we have planned,” said Rev. Henry Hansen in a statement.
The projects are appropriate for residents of all ages, interests and skill levels. Activities include assembling snack packs at , cooking for , cleaning the , visiting seniors at nursing homes and writing letters to American soldiers, among other things.

The day’s volunteer activities run from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
