Burlingame Rotary Lends a Feeding Hand

Burlingame Rotary members help out children in need of meals during the summer months.

The motto of the Burlingame Rotary Club is “Service Above Self,” a sentiment members put into play on national Rotary at Work in the Community Day.

This year, the Burlingame Rotary teamed up with CALL Primrose with the goal of providing food for kids over the summer. During the school year, these kids receive meals at school through subsidized lunch programs. Over the summer, some families find it difficult to provide adequate meals on a stretched budget.

According to the CALL Primrose website, the Burlingame Rotary raised $2,809 for purchasing food for children in the summer months.
