VIDEO: Over a Thousand Giants Fans Gather in Pacifica to See "Tiffany", The World Series Trophy

Line for a photo opportunity with the prize stretched around the block

A crowd of Giants fans, estimated to be over a thousand in number, shuffled through the  Thursday afternoon to get their photo taken with the World Series trophy.

Pacifica was the last stop on a tour of the Bay Area for the prize which, as it turns out, has a name: Tiffany.

Following the Giants' victory over Texas in early November which earned them the top honor in baseball, Tiffany was not slated to appear in Pacifica despite hitting many other cities in the Bay Area.

Horace Hinshaw, sports editor for the local weekly newspaper the Pacifica Tribune, along with councilmember Sue Digre and other community members set out to change that.

Many of the ushers at Giants stadium reside in Pacifica and, according to Digre and Hinshaw, the fan club in Pacifica is huge.

After many phone calls and emails to Giants administration, an extra day was added to the tour specifically to include Pacifica.

This last chance for proximity to the gleaming object of envy in America's pastime drew fans from all over the region, including San Francisco. Check out the video for more.

Of what sort of glass is the trophy made? Who is the creator?
