BHS Alum Hosts Game for Wounded Warriors

BHS alum and Texas Ranger Scott Feldman hosted a softball game in Arlington, Texas for wounded warriors.

graduate and Texas Rangers pitcher Scott Feldman is making dreams come true for wounded warriors in Texas, according to the Fort Hood Sentinel.

Feldman, along with his wife, invited the Warrior Transition Brigade’s 1st Battalion to Arlington, Texas for a softball game. The 13-member team was part of the first ever Faces of Freedom softball game preceding the Ranger’s match-up against the Oakland Athletics on July 1.

The wounded warriors played a group of Texas Rangers alumni, although the game was cut short by rain, the Fort Hood Sentinel reported.

In the 2011 World Series, Feldman became the first San Mateo County High School District alum to pitch in the championship in 45 years, following in the footsteps of Capuchino High School’s Wally Bunker.

In June of this year, Feldman made a donation to the Nor-Cal Longhorns, the summer collegiate team he played on the year he was drafted by the Rangers.
