Tickets Now On Sale for Annual Burlingame Fundraising Bash

"Last year's event raised over $300,000 towards our $1.3 million grant to Burlingame School District," BCE President Emily Beach said. "Those dollars make a powerful impact... to every K-8 student in our district."

The following news release was submitted for publication by the Burlingame Community for Education Foundation:

The Burlingame Community for Education Foundation (BCE) is pleased to announce their biggest annual fundraiser, the BCE Dinner Dance and Auction, will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until midnight at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport in Burlingame. All proceeds from this event help Burlingame School District sustain and enhance exceptional public education for Burlingame K-8 students.

Now in its 26th year, the BCE Dinner Dance and Auction will feature a “Hats Off to Education” theme.  Guests are encouraged to wear cocktail attire and their favorite hat – simple, funky or fabulous. In addition to an elegant evening of dinner, drinks and dancing to live music, the event also features a prize drawing, an incredible silent auction and a dynamic live auction.

“BCE’s Dinner Dance and Auction is a highly-anticipated annual community event. I’m especially excited about this year’s theme, ‘Hats Off to Education,’ because it reminds everyone about the reason for our annual gala: to celebrate and help Burlingame’s flagship public schools,” said BCE President Emily Beach.  “Last year’s event raised over $300,000 towards our $1.3 million grant to Burlingame School District.  Those dollars make a powerful impact on the quality of public education provided to every K-8 student in our district.”

Tickets are on sale exclusively online now through April 5 – with early bird tickets available until March 23. No tickets will be sold at the event. Those who are unable to attend the live event are invited to participate in the online auction, starting March 17.
