Here are just a few of the comments that readers wrote in about Mr. Kuiper:

"Mr. Kuiper from Roosevelt Elementary in Burlingame. His dedication shines through every day in the classroom. He truly takes the time to get to know each child in a meaningful way and is committed to helping them succeed. A true gem." - Cathleen Pearson

"My son had Sean Kuiper last year and still talks about him even though he is attending North now. My sense is that he will be his favorite teacher for a very long time. I do not say this lightly as there are many fantastic teachers at Roosevelt and North." - Eric Bohren

"Sean Kuiper 1st grade teacher at Roosevelt is truly one of a kind! My older son had him last year. The way he engages the kids and teaches them is special!! He is completely dedicated to understanding each child and helps them focus on their individual needs. I'm fortunate to have a bright son...he went above and beyond to always keep him challenged and exposed him to new and great things!! (Not to mention how much fun it is for the kids to have a teacher that plays kick-ball with them!!)" - Karen Lawson

"If you could build a first grade teacher from scratch and give him/her all the best qualities, Sean Kuiper from Roosevelt Elementary School is what you would end up with." - Jim C.

Kuiper has won two volunteer hours by a Patch editor, be it helping out in his classroom or anything else he needs to help make his life easier, as he has always done for his students.

But that's not all. Kuiper is also the grand prize winner out of the 13 winning teachers from our 13 Peninsula Patch sites. Congratulations to Mr. Kuiper, who has won a $50 gift card to his favorite school supply store, in addition to winning two hours of volunteer time from a Patch editor.
