Republicans Arrive in Burlingame for State Convention

An expected crowd of 1,000 delegates and interested parties began arriving Friday at the Hyatt in Burlingame.

A potpourri of Republican icons greeted party faithful who showed up Friday afternoon at the beginning of the State Republican Convention in Burlingame.

Enough about Republicans already. A summary would be enough.

my, the irony contained in that one shirt should cover the entire political season...

It should say: "1-20-12 Leave your facts at home day."

Wow Summer. You really are a vicious little hippie. Why don't you spend some time shaving you legs/armpits instead of wasting your time imparting you "wisdom" on everyone.

Nothing I enjoy more than a little perversion,it's hypocrites that rub me the wrong way ! Gary, you don't know me & you don't like me which suits me fine as I wouldn't spit on you if you were on fire. Since the vast majority of voters in this state share my views your opinion is of little value to anyone, but the few brain dead Republicans too stupid to fall down !!! It must be really frustrating to lose elections year after year to candidates supported by "vicious little hippies",but Summer should be the least of your worries !!!

Respect and tolerance for others (including their opinions) is what we teach students in middle school. Maybe EVERYONE commenting here could benefit from that. Just saying.

They want the White House, the entire legislative branch, the Supreme Court and more shares of Halliburton, Boots and Coots, Exxon/Mobile and all the insider trading position can buy - and they want the world to kowtow to their dominance, wisdom and know how. That pretty much covers the main points, don't you think? How's that for summary? So do the democrats. Problem is, the republicans know what they want and what to do when they get it; the democrats are too busy trying to figure out what to do next once they get it.

Thank you Tess. Factually and respectfully arguing issues doesn't dull the passions, but it does help understanding, which is the first step to remedy. Unsupported, factually baseless rhetoric only further widens the divide, which is exactly what politicians want, which only feeds more divide and status quo, which is how we got here.

Why was the comment about Callista Gingrich being a whore removed, certainly no one is disputing the facts regarding her lurid affair with a married Newt Gingrich. You can't handle the truth ! Or is this just another sign of your obvious Republican bias,as most of your readers could care less what the Republicans are doing in town ? Apparently there's plenty of hypocracy to go around & the Patch is becoming a bastion for it !!!

Too many hippie dreamers around here, that never lived in the real world.

Democrats hide in their hill homes and think the only why they can be like "common people" is to be Democrats. It is their way to be part of a Charity. While us middle class people work for a living paying for their props. that support scum bag thugs.
