Get prepared for election day.

Tuesday is election day, and Burlingame residents have a short ballot of local elections and measures to look forward to. Here's a rundown of what you can expect.

Burlingame City Council (choose two)

San Mateo County College District Board Member (choose three)

This four-year, $76 parcel tax will benefit math, science, reading and writing education in the Burlingame Elementary School District (67 percent approval required for passage).

(yes or no)

This $564 million bond would be used to make improvements to the College of San Mateo, Canada College and Skyline College (55 percent approval required for passage).

Polling locations throughout the county open at 7 a.m. on Tuesday and close at 8 p.m. Results of vote-by-mail balloting will be available as early as 8:05 p.m. that evening, according to Elections Supervisor Narda Barrientos.
