Former Assemblyman Gene Mullin Endorses Dave Pine For Supervisor

Former Assemblyman and education leader Gene Mullin expressed his support for Burlingame's Dave Pine in the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors race.

San Mateo County Board of Supervisors candidate Dave Pine picked up another endorsement this week from South San Francisco’s Gene Mullin, an education leader and former Assemblyman.

“As a lifelong educator and advocate for adequate funding for our local public schools, I am familiar with all of the candidates for the open seat on the Board of Supervisors,” Mullin said in a statement. “However, I’ve decided to endorse just one candidate, San Mateo High School Trustee Dave Pine, because I know that he has the strongest background when it comes to improving local schools and other programs for children and youth.”

Pine has received support from other members of the education community. San Mateo County Superintendent of Schools Anne Campbell and San Mateo County School Boards Association President Shelly Masur count themselves among Pine’s supporters, along with a number of former and current school board members.
