Deadline Approaching for Beautification Commission

Find a new way to get involved in the community, and help make Burlingame a greener, more beautiful place.

Looking for new ways to get involved in your community? Do you care about the beauty and environmental health of Burlingame? Both the Burlingame Beautification Commission and the Citizens Environmental Council (CEC) are seeking new members.

Beautification Commissioners share their ideas and recommendations with the City Council and work together to make the best decisions for Burlingame residents and visitors.

Friday is the deadline for applying for a seat on the Commission. City officials are looking to fill one spot.  Click here to apply, and contact Ana Silva in the City Manager’s office with any questions at 650-558-7204.

The Burlingame CEC is additionally seeking new members to help with programs including the Green Street Fair, the Drive Less Challenge and the Green Speaker Series.  The organization aims to make Burlingame more environmentally and economically sustainable through leading green initiatives in the community.

Join current CEC members at their monthly meeting this Wednesday, Feb. 8, at 7 p.m. in the Lane Community Room to learn more and get involved. Or email info@burlingamecec.org.
