County to Offer Free Health Classes

Next week kicks off the beginning of National Public Health Week.

San Mateo County will offer free nutrition and exercise classes to all residents next week as part of National Public Health Week.

People can participate in as many events as they want from April 2-8 that will cover a wide range of topics, including pilates, meditation and substance abuse.

“Even small changes to a person’s daily routine, like walking more, reducing stress, eating healthier, supporting smoke-free and sugar-free policies, and having regular wellness checkups can make a huge difference in helping people live healthier and longer lives,” said San Mateo County Health Officer Dr. Scott Morrow in a statement.
