In this month’s Crime Prevention newsletter from the Burlingame Police Department, officers offer up tips on how to prevent the spread of graffiti.
The most important step is to report graffiti as soon as it’s seen—whether completed or in progress. Taking a photo can help lead to identifying the vandal.
Next, remove the graffiti or cover it up quickly. According to the police department, this is one of the best techniques to prevent future graffiti.
