Police Blotter: Resident Conceals Meter and Kids Leave Stink Bomb

Thursday, May 3

12:49 a.m. An apartment resident reported another resident screaming and swearing on the 200 block of El Camino Real. The woman was contacted and said she was engaged in playful romance with her boyfriend. She was told to keep it down.

7:46 a.m. A City Water Department employee had a hard time reading a meter on the 100 block of Pepper Avenue since the resident there kept covering up the meter with tan bark.

1:10 p.m. A resident reported someone taking pictures of her property on the 1000 block of Cabrillo Avenue. The man said he was a real estate appraiser doing an appraisal on a nearby home and was using the photos for comparison.

9:33 a.m. More than 30 DVDs were stolen from a store on the 1400 block of Howard Avenue. The suspects were found in Belmont.

9:38 a.m. A hydraulic lift fell off of a truck on the 1500 block of Bayshore Highway. The reporting party moved it off the roadway and onto his property for safety.

1:40 p.m. There was a report of a bright orange truck honking its horn on the campus of Burlingame High School. The vehicle was gone when police arrived.

Saturday, May 5

12:31 p.m. A citizen found a license plate at Highway Road and Mills Avenue.

5:45 p.m. A stolen car was found in Belmont.

8:49 p.m. A resident on the 1400 block of Cortez Avenue reported juveniles rang the doorbell and left a stink bomb on the door step before running away.
