Police Blotter: Raccoons and Flyers Spook Residents

The following information was supplied by the Burlingame Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, April 16

3:45 a.m. A resident heard noise outside of her home on the 1500 block of Cypress Avenue. It turned out to be raccoons stuck in a trap.

9:59 a.m. There was a report of someone driving around the 0 block of Mangini Way honking his horn.

11:21 a.m. A resident heard someone trying to open the front door on the 1300 block of Montero Avenue. A flyer advertising gutter cleaning was found stuffed in the door. Similar flyers were found at other homes in the area.

3:30 p.m. A resident believes his neighbor spits on his car while it's parked in the garage on the 1100 block of Capuchino Avenue. He is working on getting a camera installed.

Tuesday, April 17

9:26 a.m. A subject was reportedly sleeping in a parking garage on the 1800 block of El Camino Real. The subject was gone when police arrived.

10:47 a.m. A woman living on the 1200 block of Oak Grove Avenue reported she believes her ex-boyfriend, along with his friends, are taking items from her apartment when she is gone.

3:38 p.m. A juvenile wandered from home on the 1100 block of Rosedale Avenue and was found soon after the call in to the police.

8:53 p.m. A resident reported people at a neighbor's house on the 3000 block of Trousdale Drive while the neighbors are gone. The people turned out to be family members looking after the house.
