Police Blotter: Lost German Tourists and More

The following information was supplied by the Burlingame Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, July 24

2:15 a.m. A resident on the 500 block of El Camino Real reported someone had jiggled her door knob, but no suspect was found.

8:59 a.m. Police received a report of a dumpster causing a traffic hazard on the 1500 block of Cabrillo Avenue. It was found at the end of a dead end street and determined not to be a problem.

9:38 a.m. A hotel guest accidentally called 9-1-1 while trying to call another hotel guest on the 100 block of Anza Boulevard.

1:48 p.m. There was a report of a woman stripping naked at El Camino Real and Fairfield Road to change clothes. She was contacted and denied getting naked.

2:14 p.m. A woman reported her 2-year-old son had locked himself in a room. The child was playing and eventually opened the door.

Wednesday, July 25

12:04 a.m. A resident requested police conduct passing checks on the 1600 block of Easton Drive due to juveniles who yell profanities between 9 p.m. and 1 a.m. each night.

12:18 a.m. An officer met four subjects at Edwards Court, Edwards Road and Rollins Road in response to a report of suspicious activity. The four turned out to be lost German tourists.

9:53 a.m. A bicycle and car seat were reported stolen from a backyard on the 400 block of Bloomfield Road.

3:44 p.m. A resident on the 1600 block of Forest View Avenue reported a leaf blower violation. The gardener denied using his leaf blower and the blower was found to be cold to the touch.
