Burlingame Police Blotter: Business Burglary and Stolen Boat

Friday, September 21

12:38 a.m. A citizen was arrested for driving under the influence after being involved in a hit and run at Burlingame Avenue and Park Road.

2:54 a.m. A woman reported that there was a man possibly attempting to break into her car on the 1500 block of Trousdale Drive. It turned out he was not breaking into her car, but trying to repair his own.

8:10 a.m. A motor home and boat were reported as stolen from the 0 block of Arundel Road.

1:22 p.m. There was a report that the PA system was loud at Mercy High School.

6:20 p.m. There was a report of children name-calling and using profanity on school grounds on the 800 block of Howard Avenue.

Sunday, September 23

1:38 a.m. There was a report that someone was yelling they were going to kill someone else. Officers found no threats had been made, rather a restaurant employee on the 1100 block of Rhinette Avenue had been yelling at a resident in a neighboring home.

3:33 a.m. A business was broken into and items were taken from the 500 block of California Drive.

2:35 p.m. A resident on the 500 block of El Camino Real called police to report there were guests refusing to leave her home. They left before police arrived.

Monday, September 24

3:04 a.m. There was a report of smoke coming into a home on the 1000 block of Chula Vista Avenue. It was coming from a neighbor's chimney.

3:55 a.m. There was a report of an auto alarm sounding followed by water being turned on in a resident's backyard on the 1500 block of Columbus Avenue. Everything checked clear.

9:06 a.m. Shipping containers were broken into on the 1200 block of Rollins Road.

9:41 p.m. A library employee requested a walk-through with a police officer, as a transient sneaked in after hours.

Tuesday, September 25

12:30 a.m. A resident reported a man was singing loudly in the street on the 3100 block of Frontera Way.

8:33 a.m. Graffiti was found in a restroom on the 100 block of Anza Boulevard.

10:59 a.m. A resident on the 1400 block of Cabrillo Avenue reported strange noises in the house. Police found an ex-service worker in a closet, intoxicated.
