Police Blotter: Burning Food and Cigarette Fire

The following information was supplied by the Burlingame Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, June 1

4:43 a.m. An odor of smoke was reported on the 700 block of Laurel Avenue. A guest had thrown out a lit cigarette, which caught some leaves on fire.

1:22 p.m. A resident on the 200 block of Bloomfield Road complained about a FedEx driver parking his van on the street.

2:53 p.m. A woman believed she was being followed by a homeless man. He was sent on his way.

7:32 p.m. Subjects were urinating on the sidewalk on the 100 block of Myrtle Road.

7:40 p.m. A woman on the 2100 block of Carmelita Avenue accidentally discharged her taser and felt a slight shock.

Saturday, June 2

1:42 a.m. A resident reported someone rang his doorbell on the 1200 block of Cabrillo Avenue, but no one was at the door.

4:19 a.m. A citizen reported a suspicious person walking at Ogden Drive and Trousdale Drive. The person was contacted and was delivering papers.

3:05 p.m. There was a smoke investigation on the 600 block of Rollins Road. There was no fire, but food items burning on the stove.

Sunday, June 3

11:49 a.m. Tools were stolen from a work van on the 1000 block of Carolan Avenue sometime overnight.

5:47 p.m. There was a report of juveniles riding bikes and causing a disturbance on the 1400 block of Howard Avenue.

11:10 p.m. There was a report of a group of juveniles making noise on the 1400 block of Bellevue Avenue, but police were unable to locate.
