Two burglaries were reported in the city on the morning of St. Valentine's Day, Thursday.

Hillsborough residents should be aware of their surroundings following two burglaries in broad daylight this week, police said Sunday.

Between 9:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Thursday -- St. Valentine's Day -- a burglar or burglars forced the front door in the 6200 block of Skyline Boulevard, police said.

A second burglary occurred between 9:10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of Tournament Drive, where a burglar came in through an unlocked window, police said.

No injuries were reported.

Anyone who might have witnessed anything suspicious in the area on Valentine's Day is asked to contact Hillsborough police at 650-375-7470. Any residents who wish to report potentially suspicious vehicles or people should call 911.
