Man Who Stole from Burlingame Home Held on 250K Bail

A man and his girlfriend were found with stolen laptops, bikes, 49ers season tickets, jewelry, ID cards and more.

A Colma man is in jail Monday for multiple crimes, including possession of large amounts of stolen property from homes in Burlingame, South San Francisco, Millbrae and San Mateo.

Moises Casipit, 48, entered a not guilty plea to multiple burglary counts in San Mateo County Superior Court on Friday.

On Sept. 4, Casipit and his girlfriend, Karen Leigh Tanner, 45, were found in a car outside a Millbrae home that had just been broken into. According to San Mateo County District Attorney's Office notes, police found methamphetamine in the car as well as the stolen property.

A search of their home turned up stolen laptops, bikes, 49ers season tickets, jewelry, ID cards and more.

Tanner, who posted $50,000 bail, can be seen on surveillance video committing a burglary in South San Francisco. She will be back in court on Oct. 7.

Casipit is being held on $250,000 bail.
