Hillsborough Resident Stops Home Burglary

On June 19 at approximately 8:12 p.m., a resident on Downey Way telephoned the Hillsborough Police Department and reported that there had just been an attempted burglary at his residence.

The resident stated that he heard the front door bell, and prior to answering the door, he saw two subjects in the rear yard. There was a short confrontation between the resident and one of the suspects who ultimately fled the area. There were two other subjects seen, one in the front yard and one in a waiting vehicle.  All four suspects fled in an older, gold sedan.

The resident was unharmed during the confrontation.

The Hillsborough Police Department is working with the witnesses and victims in this case as well as other law enforcement agencies

There are three suspect description available: Black male, 18-20, 5'10", wearing a black hoodie and backpack. Hispanic male, 18-20, 5'8". Hispanic male, 5'8", 18-20, stocky build wearing white shirt and a black beanie.
