Hillsborough Resident Comes Home Friday Morning to Find Burglars Inside

Hillsborough police are investigating a home burglary that was interrupted by a resident on Friday morning, police said.

Officers responded to the burglary in the 1400 block of Lakeview Drive shortly after 9 a.m., police said.

The home's rear glass door was broken with an unknown object and property was stolen from the bedrooms and office, according to police.

The homeowner arrived about 10 minutes after leaving the home and found an unfamiliar white pickup truck on the driveway, police said.

The homeowner entered the home and heard at least one burglar run towards an open window to exit the home then fleeing the scene in the white pickup truck, according to police.

The homeowner did not see the suspects during the incident, police said.

Any residents in the area with surveillance footage are asked to share their videos with police.
