Hillsborough Police Ask Residents for Surveillance Video to Help Catch Burglary Suspect

By Bay City News Service:

Police in Hillsborough are investigating a residential burglary that occurred Tuesday, and are asking residents in the area to review their home security video footage for potential leads.

According to Hillsborough police Sgt. Nelson Corteway, the burglary occurred between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the 1800 block of Black Mountain Road.

Corteway said the suspect or suspects used a prying tool to defeat a deadbolt lock on a rear door and then entered the home. Once inside, the suspect or suspects took undisclosed property from the home.

Any witnesses who may have noticed suspicious looking vehicles or persons in the neighborhood are asked to contact police at (650) 375-7470.

Additionally, Corteway said police are asking residents who may have surveillance footage of Black Mountain Road, Denise Road or the area of Wedgewood Drive and Marlborough Road in Hillsborough to review their video and share it with police.
