Hillsborough PD: Send Sweets to Our Soldiers

Send extra Halloween candy to soldiers serving in Afghanistan.

Don't know what to do with your left over Halloween candy? The Hillsborough Police Department has an idea.

The department will send any extra candy dropped off at Town Hall or the Hillsborough Police Department to Hillsborough’s Adopt-a-Unit—a group of U.S. soldiers serving in Afghanistan.

No candy to spare? The troops could also use toiletries, snacks, socks, magazines and books. The Hillsborough Police Department will be shipping out the latest donations early this month.
