Firefighters Host Fundraising Pancake Breakfast

The Central County Fire Department is hosting a pancake breakfast for a cause.

What goes together better than pancakes and maple syrup? Pancakes and giving back to the community. The Central County Fire Department is hosting its annual Pancake Breakfast benefitting the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation this Saturday.

Firefighters from Burlingame and Hillsborough will be flipping pancakes Saturday morning at Station 34. The breakfast costs $5, with all proceeds going to the Alisa Ann Ruch Foundation. The California-based non-profit provides services to children and adults with burn injuries, including summer camps and support groups. The organization is also dedicated to burn prevention education.

The breakfast runs from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. T-shirts and hats are also available for purchase.
