UPDATE: Four Vehicles Involved in Hit-and-Run Crash on Hwy 280

The crash was reported Thursday afternoon on southbound Highway 280 in Burlingame.

UPDATE 1:50 P.M.: Four vehicles were involved in a hit-and-run collision on southbound Interstate Highway 280 on Thursday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A male suspect, described only as Hispanic, fled from the crash on foot, CHP Sgt. M. Kittell told Patch at the scene.

Authorities were searching for the man as of 2 p.m.

Kittell confirmed children were involved in the crash but said none were injured. No major injuries or fatalities were reported, she told Patch.

The crash was reported just after 12:30 p.m. near Bunker Hill Road, contrary to initial reports that the crash occurred near Black Mountain Road.

Emergency personnel are responding to a major crash on southbound Interstate Highway 280 in Burlingame, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported just after 12:30 p.m. on Highway 280 south of the Black Mountain Road offramp.

According to preliminary information, the crash occurred between a Big-Rig and two smaller vehicles. Initial information indicates there were children in at least one of the vehicles who were injured.

A person was also possibly ejected from a vehicle, according to the CHP.
