Burlingame Police Blotter: Wedding Ring Found, Couple Having Sex in Public & More

7:06 a.m. A store in the 1300 block of Burlingame Avenue reported that a suspect attempted to use a stolen credit card. 

11:32 a.m. Police received a call from CHP that someone in the park needed assistance. Officers found an intoxicated man with chest pains at Howard Avenue and Myrtle Road. He was transported to the hospital.

12:03 p.m. A resident in the 1400 block of Floribunda Avenue reported receiving a threatening letter. 

1:36 p.m. A wedding ring was found at California Drive and Oak Grove Avenue and turned into police.

1:47 p.m. Officers received a report from the sheriff's office that solicitors in the area of the 2100 block of Carmelita Avenue and they might be casing homes. Officers located the solicitors and found there was no merit to them casing homes. 

2:02 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a dog locked in a car. They contacted the owners in the 1400 block of Howard Avenue. 

4:46 p.m. A husband reported that his wife went for a walk and did not return. She was located in San Mateo. 

9:06 p.m. Officers found 51-year-old Benjamin Ejeh had locked himself in the bathroom of the library in the 400 block of Primrose Drive. He was arrested due to having an outstanding warrant. 

9:28 p.m. Police received a complaint of a man going through recyclables on Lorton Avenue. An officer contacted the reporting party who said the man may have actually been a tenant. 

10:41 p.m. Police received a report of a couple having sex in public in the 200 block of California Drive. When officers arrived, the couple had already left the area.
