BHS Student Pleads No Contest in Bomb Threat Case
BHS student who sent a threatening email from another student's account pleaded no contest to making a false threat.
A Burlingame High School student who sent an email from another student's account that shut down the campus has pleaded no contest to making a false bomb threat.
The San Mateo County District Attorney's Office reported that Christine Nicole Azzolino, 19, entered the plea in Superior Court on Thursday.
Prosecutors said that on Feb. 10, 2012, Azzolino used another student's computer when he briefly left his workstation, and sent an email to school administrators claiming he had a gun, a bomb and to shut down the school.

The school was put on lockdown at about 2 p.m. and the campus was evacuated and searched. Four police K-9 units were used to search the campus, according to the district attorney's office.
No explosives were ever found and the lockdown was eventually lifted.

Azzolino was arrested on Feb 13, after police questioned the student whose email account was used and cleared him from suspicion.
Azzolino, who is out of custody on $50,000 bail, is scheduled to be sentenced on Sept. 12.
