A motorcyclist who crashed when a drive shaft fell onto the Bay Bridge from a big rig suffered minor injuries Friday and the crash forced the shutdown of three lanes, a California Highway Patrol officer said.
The crash on the upper deck, near the entrance ramp to Treasure Island, was reported at 6:30 a.m., according to CHP Officer James Evans, who added that the wreck shut down three middle lanes on the bridge's upper deck for about 45 minutes.
