Rat in a Maze, Driving Around These Days

Hey B.Gamers. Have any of you notice how hectic it is manipulating the streets of Burlingame these days? In the last week or so, for me just getting from Trousdale to Broadway is an adventure and takes me double the time to get me to my local Post Office (please wait for my next blog for the update on that one.) 

We all know that the streets are in need of repair, there is no arguing that. But, wow! Whos idea was it to do it all at the same time? And it’s all within the same stretch, running semi-parallel with each other.

On Monday, I headed down Rosedale to California Drive. I couldn't turn right to head South, as it is closed and there was a detour in place, so I head back up to El Camino, only to find it backed up, as it has been reduced to single lanes in both directions.

I head over to the other side of El Camino to take the back streets. That was good for two blocks, until I hit several road closures on Cortez and Balboa and Cabrillo.  Not all between the same streets…OK. You might be confused, and I’m going on and on. But just know this: I literally zig-zagged and loopty-looped around several blocks to get to the Post Office off of Broadway. 

The way home? I took the freeway. Believe it or not, it was faster!
