Lobsterfest Benefit for Okizu

A benefit for Okizu, a camp and peer support program for children with cancer and their families. Come and eat delicious Maine lobster, enjoy lively spirits, and send kids to camp!

The mission of Okizu is to provide peer support, respite, mentoring, and recreational programs to meet the needs of all members of families affected by childhood cancer.

Okizu is committed to the continuing support of the Oncology and Siblings camping programs. These programs are the result of a collaborative effort of the foundation and the pediatric treatment programs of Northern California. The specific purpose of this corporation is to operate a recreational therapy program for children whose families are affected by childhood cancer.

Lobster Feast - lobster, jumbo prawns, hot links, corn on the cob, potatoes, artichokes, garlic, onions, sourdough bread and dessert.

 Cost - $90 plus ticket processing fees

FAQs

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

Event is 21+ over only.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Street Parking on Cowan Road.

Is the event Tax Deductible?

Yes, a portion of the dinner is Tax Deductible, you will be sent a letter confirming the tax deductible amount after the event.  Total amount depends on market price of Lobster the day of the event.

Is this All You Can Eat?

No, it's not. While the food is served traditional boil/clam bake style strewn on the table, it works out to be one Lobster per person.

What if I am allergic to Shellfish, can I still attend?

Yes, we do have a chicken option, and the vegetables etc, are cooked in a separate pot (however while all pots are cleaned after every use, a pot may have previously had shellfish cooked in it).
