Burlingame On the Avenue

On August 16 and 17th, the newly redesigned Burlingame Avenue will play host to the totally revamped free summer festival,"Burlingame on the Avenue".

Formerly billed as the Burlingame ArtzFest, Burlingame on the Avenue takes place August 16-17 and will feature hundreds of artisans showcasing original works of art, photography, sculptures, jewelry, clothing, decor and more. Attendees can stroll rows of booths, speak directly to the artists and enjoy an array of delicious foods and drinks.

According to Georgette Naylor, President of the Burlingame Chamber of Commerce, the chamber wanted to get back to the roots of what initially inspired the event: a celebration of community.

"The Burlingame Avenue Streetscape Project has been a huge accomplishment for us and for our community," said Naylor."With the re-branding of this event, we know this will solidify Burlingame Avenue's place as THE premiere shopping destination on the Peninsula."

The event will feature many of the favorite
components from years past, including an area featuring interactive children's activities, a Home, Garden and Green section, and an eclectic mix of
entertainment and live music from bands, including Group Therapy. On Saturday from 11am-2pm, local community performers, including winners of the Burlingame Idol competition, will showcase their talents.
