Burlingame Intermediate School – Schematic Design Public Input Meeting #2

Dear Burlingame School
District Community:

On behalf of the Burlingame
School District (BSD) Board of Trustees, the BSD has launched the Facilities
Modernization Bond Program funded by the proceeds of the November 2012 voter
approved "Measure D" bond measure.

The District feels strongly
that the more robust the public process is, the better the project outcome will
be. The District already held one Public Input meeting on this project
September 16, 2013.  Staff at BIS have
been working with Architects to develop the Schematic Design for a new
classroom building at BIS, and the District is inviting you to attend these next
two (2) evening meetings focused on Schematic Design of the proposed new
classroom building on the BIS campus.

Schematic Design: Is the first phase in the design of a
project where the project team prepares initial diagrams and drawings giving a
general view of the components and the scale of the project after detailed
discussions with the BSD staff, BIS staff, and the community.

These two (2) Public Input
Meetings are the community's opportunity to contribute to the design; there
will be additional public presentations on the progress of these designs to the
Board of Trustees.
