Will An Urgency Wireless Ordinance Pass This Week?

  • Monday is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. All City offices are closed.
  • On Tuesday, the Burlingame City Council will hold a study session on the Burlingame Avenue Streetscape Improvement Project at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers. Directly following that session, the council will hold its regular meeting at 7 p.m. Implementing a proposed urgency wireless telecommunications ordinance will be discussed, among other topics, such as waste rates.
  • Author Lian Gouw will be at the Burlingame Public Library Wednesday at 7 p.m. discussing her book Only a Girl.
  • The Parks and Recreation Commission meets Thursday at 7 p.m at the Recreation Center.
  • A public meeting will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers on parking meter rates.
  • On Saturday, the Burlingame Neighborhood Network is hosting an event in the Lane Community Room at 9:30 a.m. Residents are invited to learn more about Nextdoor.com, a social networking site that builds community and helps people get to know their neighbors. RSVP by Jan. 18.
