Whiz Kid: Anthony Curcini

Burlingame's Anthony Curcini is one true whiz kid.

Know a great kid who made Eagle Scout or did your local soccer team take the championship? They may be our next Patch Whiz Kid honoree.

Each week, Burlingame Patch will seek suggestions from readers for individual  kids, youth groups, teens and even sports teams that wow us with their accomplishments. We want to hear about these amazing children and teens and select one each week as the Patch Whiz Kid. Submit your nomination in the comments or e-mail the information to miriam@patch.com.

Age:13

School: Burlingame Intermediate School

Whiz Kid's Accomplishment: Anthony is writing a science fiction book.

Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness: Anthony is a thinker, and always asks a lot of questions. According to his father, he is not afraid to go down the road less traveled. Both his inquisitive personality and his willingness to be adventurous played into his decision to write a science fiction book—a challenge few other 13 year olds would take on. He also has a great memory, and is able to recall almost all the details from books he reads. He enjoys experiencing all the adventures life holds. Additionally, Anthony has a strong sense of family and recently wrote a school assignment about his father and their strong bond.
