Week Ahead: Practice Preparedness and More

What's on tap for this week? Keep an eye out for these events and stories this week. We'll be there to cover them.

• The City Council meets Monday at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers.  They will discuss the proposed 2012-2013 budget and the Burlingame Point project.
• A class on staying safe online will be held at 7 p.m. Monday in the Lane Community Room at the Burlingame Public Library.
• Hansel and Gretel are coming to the Burlingame Public Library on Tuesday during the Dad & Me Puppet Show. Tickets are required and are available for free at the library’s Children’s Desk. The show begins at 7 p.m.
• The Beautification Commission meets Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in City Hall.
• San Mateo County hosts Disaster Preparedness Day Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the San Mateo County Event Center. Learn CPR and how to stay safe during an emergency.
• Yan Can Cook will take place at the Burlingame Public Library on Saturday at 2 p.m. Tickets are required and are available for free at the library.
