Week Ahead: Holiday Festivities Begin

Take a look at what's happening in Burlingame and Hillsborough this week, and feel free to add your own events in the comments.

What's on tap for this week? Keep an eye out for these events and stories this week. We'll be there to cover them.

  • Looking for some computer instruction? Join the hands-on computer class, Google U, Part 2 Monday at 2 p.m. at the Burlingame Public Library. Registration is required.
  • Brush up on your computer skills at the Drop-In Computer Lab at the Burlingame Public Library at 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Monday.
  • The Burlingame Planning Commission meets at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers Monday.
  • The Burlingame School District Board of Trustees meets Tuesday at 7 p.m.
  • The Burlingame Parks and Recreation Commission meets at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Burlingame Recreation Center. The meeting was rescheduled from November 15.
  • The Burlingame Public Library will hold a hands-on computer class Thursday at 7 p.m. for students and parents interested in learning about teen research. Space is limited and registration is required.
  • The holiday season is here. Join the Broadway Business Improvement District and Burlingame Chamber of Commerce Friday between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. for Broadway Cheer. Participate in the Holiday Toy Drive and enjoy local holiday music.
  • The Burlingame Children’s Holiday Tea takes place Sunday at 10 a.m. Contact the Burlingame Library Foundation for ticket information.

Yes, we are well aware of this & can not believe the Burlingame district is proceeding with theRead More plans for this school. The footprint of the school does not allow for safe drop off and pick up. I have seen a couple of different plans for the drop off line & none of them are adequate for the location. The traffic will surely be a nightmare & I hope we are not moved to this school, as there is not proper access for drop off. Also, not sure why the plans keep changing, maybe because they can not come up with a good plan.
