Week Ahead: Holiday Festivities Begin

Take a look ahead at what's going on in Burlingame this week.

What's on tap for this post-Thanksgiving week? Burlingame is beginning to gear up for the holidays. Keep an eye out for these events and stories this week. We'll be there to cover them.

  • The Planning Commission meets at 7 p.m. Monday in Council Chambers.
  • The Beautification Commission meets Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the Burlingame Recreation Center.
  • The Burlingame Tree Lighting and Holiday Parade takes place Friday starting at 5 p.m. The tree lighting will kick off the night at City Hall followed by a parade on Burlingame Avenue, performers, ice skating and more.
  • A group of Burlingame vendors will put on the first Vintage Arts Market Saturday at the Burlingame Woman’s Club from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. in support of Moe Munroe.
  • Sunday is the Burlingame Library Foundation’s Children’s Holiday Tea at the Easton Branch. The first seating is from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. featuring illustrator LeUyen Pham and the second is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. featuring author Bob Barner. Tickets are still available for the 2 p.m. seating.
