Week Ahead: Gear Up For the Burlingame Pet Parade

  • The City Council meets Monday at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
  • The San Mateo County School Board Association will hold a membership dinner meeting Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the in Burlingame.
  • Burlingame-bsaed will put on its Hope in Harmony awards ceremony Tuesday at Kohl Mansion. The event honors innovative change makers helping solve society’s biggest problems.
  • Sonya Knudsen, a local author and photographer, will lecture on her book, Hillsborough-California, on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Lane Community Room
  • will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for its new school building on Friday at 5 p.m.
  • Movies in the Park returns for the last time this season on Friday in Washington Park. The 1971version of Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory will be shown at 8 p.m.
  • Get your pets ready for the Burlingame Pet Parade! The animals come marching into town Saturday at 10 a.m. on Broadway. Click here for more information.
  • The Fall Festival takes place Saturday from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Chili Cook-off happens Sunday at 1 p.m.
