Special Caltrain Cancelled

An equipment shortage caused a Caltrain cancellation Wednesday.

Caltrain has canceled a special train that was scheduled to depart from San Francisco at 3:35 p.m. today.

The train was canceled because of an equipment shortage, Caltrain spokeswoman Christine Dunn said. She said the special train, which is scheduled on San Francisco Giants game days, typically runs as an express train to San Carlos then makes all local stops to San Jose.

Giants fans coming from the game are advised to take one of Caltrain's regularly scheduled trains instead.
