Sawyer Camp Trail Closure Begins Wednesday
On August 15 through August 17, the Sawyer Camp Trail will be closed while construction is done on a nearby water pipeline.
Beginning Wednesday, Sawyer Camp Trail near Hillsborough and Millbrae will close for three days.
The closure is related to seismic upgrade construction on the nearby regional water pipeline. The Crystal Springs Reservoir System is undergoing upgrades through fall of 2013, ensuring an emergency water supply for those in Northern San Mateo and San Francisco counties.
This closure and construction are part of a larger $4.6 billion Water System Improvement Program (WSIP), working to repair and upgrade the Hetch Hetchy Regional Water System for seismic safety.
