“I also kept wishing for a map.
I hope that 10 years from now the Board will figure out a better way. Because the district that includes San Carlos also includes the coast, our Supervisor always seems to concentrate on coastside issues.” Pat Bell

“They could just expand the board by 2-4 members and that way the Coast would have its own representation. It would still mean that you would not have much of a voice, but atleast you would have your own district.” Bill Bohlen

“Larry, you "library guy", you 'get it' about Burlingame Libraries. Thanks for sharing the good info.” Kris Cannon

“As a library trustee, I'm so glad to hear you appreciate our library. Don't forget our little gem, the Easton branch, which our community rallied to save through generous donations, a door to door campaign and kids holding a bake sale on the library steps. It's wonderful to live in a community that heartily supports its libraries.”
Lisa Rosenthal

“Larry, Thank you for praising our library and libraries in general. I completely agree about the beauty of our library and its setting. Whenever I have out of town guests, I have to drive by and say, "And this is my library!" I have told many friends, "if I ever win the lotterymy philanthropy will be to libraries.” Sharon Anderson

“this is amazing!I cant wait to check it out!” Jeanne Matesky

“Thank your for reiterating the simple fact - "As far as I can tell, 1600 Broadway is not a “meth house". Important fact over "wild blogging".” Fiona Hamilton

“Wow, she has a 5 year old daughter in the custody of the dad, that had a restraining order against her. Now she's pregnant again??? Her behavior is so eratic and bizarre, I hope she finally tells the truth about Michele.”Phyllis McArthur

“Scott; I agree with your analysis, and, like you, would love to see top teams go at it right from the start. But the ultimate blame lies with the BCS system rather than the choices that Stanford, and many others, make. In basketball, there is a championship tournament and a (roughly) 30 game regular season. Hoops teams can afford a few losses without risking a slot in the tournament bracket. Not so in football, where bowl bids and rankings are at stake every week. One loss can dump a team from a BCS bowl or even a shot at the title. So, until there is a true playoff, we will continue to see top teams playing soft non-conference schedule. The Oregon-LSU game last week was the exception, not the rule.” Jim Somers
