“Area code 340 didn't exist until 1997. That's five years after the alleged cipher's author died, and about 27 years after he allegedly sent it.” Dan Berkes

Recycling in the Peninsula: Not Just a Chore But an Honor

“The City of Burlingame, Goodwill and Recology of San Mateo County will be hosting an electronic recycling event and paper records shredding event on Saturday, October 8, 2011, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at City Parking Lot "O", 400 Block of California Avenue.” Jesus Nava (Save the date!)

“'set of principles on high speed rail.'
Why are we all pretending that their are 'principles' at all when we should just tell it like it is.The only principles here are poor ones. I suggest these principles just for starters:
Force the Feds to take back the money.
Tell the Union lobbyists to get lost.
Cite and expose all these 'representatives' who lied to the Fed about how prepared they were to build HSR.
Run the HSR punks out of town on the existing rail.
It may not be eloquent enough for those who insist on talking in circles nor those who insist on being lie to.” Tim Chafee

“(1) America will continue to be behind the curve when it comes to high speed rail; and (2). high speed rail will never be built in California.” Fiona Hamilton

“In the movies they used to show Indians putting their ear to the ground to hear for approaching cowboys and their horses. All politicians should do the same; they'll hear the stampede of their constinuents coming for their heads...Enough already! There is no place for HSR to be running up the middle of our town or any other town on the peninsula. Besides the best result, eliminating HSR, there are other alternatives that need to be explored, for example, parallel to Highway 101 or 280 or over the bay. Why disrupt the world of so many folks for the benefit of so few?” John Pivirotto

“My new best place for ice cream is Sapore's Deli's gelato. It is all homemade. The sour cherry, pistachio and vanilla bean is to die for. You have to try it. The owners are the same as the Sapore Italiano on Burlingame Avenue. You can even pick up some homemade pasta, sauce and homemade soups. Don't miss this!!” Jeriann Fleres
