City News: Police Start Newsletter, Markets Begin

Burlingame has been abuzz with activity recently, and we’re here to make sure you don’t miss anything. From government announcements to City events, we want to make sure you're informed.

  • The Library Board has two vacant seats the City seeks to fill. Board members take their ideas to the City Council in order to create the best library collection and programs for Burlingame residents. Applications can be found here and are due June 3.   • The Burlingame Police Department has started a monthly crime prevention newsletter to help keep Burlingame residents safe. Check out the May edition, with tips for safe summer travel and graduation.
  • Beginning last Thursday and continuing through mid-September, the Burlingame Fresh Market will be open on Thursdays from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Park Road at Burlingame Avenue. This evening market compliments the regular Fresh Market time of Sundays from 9 a.m. through 1:30 p.m.

  • The Burlingame Art Society is hosting its Spring Art Show at the Burlingame Women’s Club Friday, May 13 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Saturday, May 14 from 10 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. Stop by to see the artwork displayed by BAS members, as well as the work in the youth division, highlighting young artists in grades six through 12.
  • The Burlingame Green Street Fair is taking place Sunday, May 15 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. in Parking Lot J.
  • The Traffic Safety and Parking Commission will discuss exploring installing electric vehicle charging station in Burlingame.
