Caltrain Delays Due to Switching Problems

Commuters should expect Caltrain delays tonight.

Caltrain advises its passengers to expect delays this evening due to major switching problems, a spokeswoman said.

As of 6:15 p.m., all trains coming into and out of San Francisco will be delayed 15 to 30 minutes because the switches are being operated by hand and only one train at a time can enter and leave the station, spokeswoman Christine Dunn said.

BART is honoring Caltrain tickets, Dunn said, and passengers can directly transfer between BART and Caltrain at Millbrae station.
