Virgin America Partners With Uber

Burlingame-based Virgin America looks for new ways to revolutionize travel.

In keeping with its style of providing a different kind of transportation ambience and experience, Burlingame-based Virgin America recently announced its partnership with Uber, a car company reinventing personal transportation.

Virgin America Elevate frequent flyer members can earn 800 Elevate points by taking their first ride with Uber. As part of the partnership, the two companies are collaborating for the “Ride with Us, Roll with Us” sweepstakes. Each week one winner will be selected, who will receive a week of free domestic round trip travel on Virgin America, as well as $500 towards Uber rides through October 2.

“As two companies known for looking at ways to improve and reinvent the travel experience, we’re pleased to partner with Uber to offer travelers a new option for ground travel that fits their busy, connected lifestyles,” said Virgin America Vice President of Marketing Luanne Calvert in a statement. “Our new partnership with Uber provides our frequent flyers with a more connected, seamless travel experience—from the air to the ground.”

Uber is an on-demand car service, accessible through phone or the Uber app. Users must sign up using either the app or the Uber website.

Oh yeah! Like I need advise from the Hollywood dung elite like Bill Maher and Danny D'Midget toRead More offer me diet suggestions. If you don't like the product, don't buy it.

Yes, we are well aware of this & can not believe the Burlingame district is proceeding with theRead More plans for this school. The footprint of the school does not allow for safe drop off and pick up. I have seen a couple of different plans for the drop off line & none of them are adequate for the location. The traffic will surely be a nightmare & I hope we are not moved to this school, as there is not proper access for drop off. Also, not sure why the plans keep changing, maybe because they can not come up with a good plan.
