Lighting Up the City

The holidays begin in Burlingame.

On Friday night, Burlingame hosted its annual tree lighting ceremony. Families gathered around City Hall to watch the tree light up and join in the holiday cheer.

The night was full of entertainment, music and fun, from an orchestra playing Christmas carols to a children's choir's take on Grease classics. A fire truck conducted by Santa with city council members onboard led the way from the tree to Parking Lot J and Powell's Sweet Shoppe.

In the lot, children participated in dizzying rides and had the chance to chat and take photos with Santa at Powell's.
