It’s Finally Here: What Do You Think of the iPhone 5?

The latest iPhone was released in Apple and retailer stores this morning.

For weeks—even months—people have been waiting for the iPhone 5. And today, the wait is over.

Those who had been waiting in line at Apple stores a week ago were finally able to walk through the doors around 8 a.m. and exit as proud iPhone 5 owners. They were finally able to test the iPhone 5, the latest iPhone that so many tech reporters and bloggers had been writing about.

The sleek smart phone boasts many new features including a 4-inch screen, 20 percent lighter and many more features not available on the iPhone 4s, the most current iPhone model.

However, those who pre-ordered the phone may have to wait longer than the expected delivery date, reported CNET. Verizon has pushed delivery dates back to Sept. 28, while AT&T has said iPhone orders will be shipped in 14 to 21 business days.

So tell us what the new iPhone is like. How cool are the new features? Or is it virtually indistinguishable from the iPhone 4 and 4s? Let us know in the comments.

You can also post photos of your snazzy new phone to this article by clicking the "Upload Photos and Videos" button underneath the photo.

I think it's just another overhyped cell phone.

Rob, I have to agree with you. The only thing I was looking forward to in a new iPhone was the potential for NFC communication between Android and iOS operating systems. Right now, when I create user information upload stations for on-site sponsorship events, I have to create two different images for people to scan. For the iOS devices, a QR code. For Android devices, an NFC tag. It would be awesome to only have to create one tag that facilitates beaming data between electronic devices. Although it was rumored to have it, the new iPhone lacks NFC capability, which kind of squashes my dreams.

Loving my new phone - glad I stayed up to order it online. IT's faster, lighter and just great. Nice larger screen, meaning more apps can fit on each page, less scrolling to do. Lots of great features.

It's not just you, it's all of us. I'll bet most of us have seen this happen all over town. PeopleRead More don't seem to be in the habit of checking for pedestrians, unless perhaps they're near a school. Drivers need to understand that they must watch, yield and wait. In large cities where there may be dozens of people in an intersection, drivers, for the most part, observe the law--there's safety in numbers. So when we're alone or in a small group, and find ourselves in a crosswalk around here, we all must remain alert and be ready to "jump out of the way" of some unobservant or inconsiderate driver.
