Millbrae's schizophrenic summer ended with almost unprecedented sales activity and slightly depressed values. August's 22 transactions were more than twice the number (10) recorded in July and 37.5% more than June's 16. The city's $873,193 average home price trailed July's odd $1.04 million by 16%, though it was 3.7% higher than June's $841,933. For the season, 48 homes sold in Millbrae, a significant increase over the 36 homes sold during June, July and August of 2010.
