A San Francisco tradition since just after the Gold Rush, the Lunar New Year parade continues to delight the hundreds of thousands of people who come to watch it. The parade features gorgeous floats, elaborate costumes, ferocious lions, exploding firecrackers and the newly crowned Miss Chinatown.

After you arrive from Burlingame at the San Francisco Caltrain Station, take either Muni lines 30 or 45, which stop across from the train station on Townsend Street or take the Muni N-Judah or T-Third light rail lines on 4th and King streets to the Powell Station. The parade route starts on Market, goes up Geary, down Post and ends on Kearny at Columbus.
